Christmas 2020 Project.
Identified 55 past players/supporters/members all old people as well as those bereaved or those struggling with the fall-out from Covid -19 including their business’, or going through a tough time.
The H&W group asked our Under-age Academy players, boys and girls to design individual artistic Christmas cards for these people. Then we dolled the envelopes up and between us we delivered each of these by hand and spending time with them chatting about their youth, all the time masked and observing social distance,
The vast majority of these recepiens were living alone/bereaved.
There was an accompanying letter from the Healthy Club Officer detailing why the club had not forgotten them and appreciated their commitment to the club in the past.
They were blown away by this appreciation and so were we.
