Phase 5 Healthy Club Recruitment

Applications for Phase 5 of the Healthy Club Project is now open to ALL clubs across the Association, including international units. 150 -200 new clubs will be selected to participate in the project which will commence in February 2022. Over the 18 month process clubs will be guided and supported in how to make their club a healthier place.

Club Priority Areas

Healthy Clubs consult with their members and wider communities to determine what areas of health are prioritised. The most common priority areas include:

2020 - 2021

  • 272 clubs (multiple in each county & 3 international units)
  • 149,000 members

  • Aim: 500 clubs
  • - opening of expressions of interest to all GAA clubs
